Alright guys, we're here in New York City for Fanatics Fest. Let's see if we can go catch Lance. Ohh, looks like we got him. Hey Lance, hi, I know you got lots going on but can you show us around? Where are we? I would love to show you around. This is the beautiful Jacob K Javits Center and we are at the Natick Fest in NYC, the inaugural show. Alright, let's go. So this is the first ever Fanatics Fest. What's the most exciting thing about creating something brand new? Fans, delighting fans and trying to figure out what it is they want and building it for them so they love it. Earlier this year, you stated five goals for the advanced business. The goals were to delight fans, grow the hobby, build relationships between fans and fanatics, generate media headlines and buzz, and generate revenue. How do you plan to execute these goals at Fanatics Fest? Honestly, I could tell you, or we could go inside and you could see it because it's pretty awesome. Let's go. Alright, so now that we're here, let me dig in a little bit and talk to you about the goals that we're trying to accomplish with Fanatics Fest. We really want to grow the hobby. Collecting is so vital and there aren't that many options to onboard new collectors. Second thing we want to do is just delight fans. Build an amazing experience for fans of sports collecting and sports culture. The third thing we want to do is really build a relationship between fans and fanatics. Think of this show as a love letter to our customers. The most interesting thing I've learned recently is. You know what's really interesting? Vinyl records, right? They're louder tracks. Take up more space, which is why they put him at the center. So that's why most albums from like the 70s open with lighter music and then it gets heavier as it goes and never knew that. Every day at work, I look forward to my team. I love the people I work with and I've been really fortunate in that I've gotten to build a team. And a team that's based on values and culture. And we set out to be the loud team in the building that was always having fun that everybody wanted to work with. What would be your last meal? Wow, that's a great question. White Castle did. White Castle fan. I know, don't give me that look. You can't see who's behind this camera, the glance that she just shot me. How did you utilize the knowledge of Fanatics employees from the different businesses to ensure all sides of the company were well represented at Fanatics Fest? We actually talked to so many employees from all different corners of the company, and the first few months I was on the job, really four or five months I was on the job, it was learning and listening. We had lots of ideas that weren't necessarily fully thought out, but we wanted to test them and ask and learn. This business is entirely about knowing what fans want and being close to them. And so you want to talk to the people that are closest to those fans as well as those fans. If you were stranded on a deserted island, who would you want with you? I mean, of course, the natural answer is my wife. But I think probably my work bestie, Mike Armstrong, because he knows my sense of humor. He tolerates me, and I have lots of good inside jokes with him. And I think also either of us would be fine with ultimately eating the other one. Right. It's that kind of a relationship. What or who inspires you? My grandmother. Who? Who passed? She inspired me because she was a shoe salesman her entire life. She never really had money. Um, she worked really hard and she taught me that when you're close to your customers and your customers love you, you can do anything you want. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be? Uh, I would be at my house, which happens to be on a lake and I love that lake and it's just an incredibly relaxing place to be. And if you haven't noticed, we're in a slightly chaotic high stress environment. So I guess I could go there anytime in my mind. Wait, I'm there right now. OK, I can continue. Wait wasn't the correct answer. I want to be a fanatic. I really botched that one, didn't I? What's the best advice you've ever received? I think the best advice I ever received from my dad when he said just make the next right decision that sort of linked. He once told me that just because it's the right thing doesn't mean it's going to feel good. Last question, what's next for fanatics events? Well, first, I think we'll take a little rest on Monday for a minute and then it's about learning. It's about what did we learn? What did people love about this show? Where did we get it right?
