'Twas the night before Christmas, and in the North Pole, Santa's workshop buzzed with excitement, an energized soul. The elves were all hustling, with joy in the air, For a special task awaited, a mission quite rare. Santa Claus, with his beard snowy and white, Had a new challenge this Christmas Eve night. Not just gifts for kids, wrapped in festive attire, But a different kind of present, something to inspire. Infinit-I Workforce, a gift quite unique, To deliver to companies, was Santa's mystique. For all the good businesses, big and small, Santa aimed to boost their success overall. The sleigh was loaded with software and cheer, As the reindeer pranced, spreading holiday cheer. As a challenger brand we're firm believers in the power of product sampling. Last week, to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day, Cameron McKenzie-Wilde and Florence Allen were out spreading the word with free pints of Gosnells Hazy in pubs. It's a simple but effect activity - we're confident in the quality of our product, and our experience shows that when people get a taste, 8 out of 10 choose us again. It's labour intensive (and doesn't scale that easily) but 'liquid to lips' sampling significantly boosts the rate of sale in outlets. It's a testament to the effectiveness of letting the product speak for itself. I'm curious about other strategies that we could employ. What activation methods have you seen or experienced that encouraged you to try something new in a pub setting?

For our 15th anniversary of Empty Bowls, we wanted to revisit what has made Empty Bowls so special all these years. One thing came out above all others when we talked with folks: community. Over the years, we have received feedback that the name Empty Bowls feels incomplete. It is unfortunate that at this moment many in our community are worried about their bowls being empty. However, our neighbors are so much more than their current situation. When we thought about how we could envision a new name for Empty Bowls, it was important to us that the name did not focus on what we lack. Rather, we felt the name should highlight what we can accomplish together. ?? What does Horizon mean? The Horizon logo is meant to symbolize neighbors sitting together at a table sharing a meal. The spokes of the sun are also people, and the sun can also be seen as a table. The sun is rising over the horizon and a brighter future is made as neighbors come together, celebrating one another, and building connection. TL;DR - Workplaces have a duty to prevent sexual harassment, below are the references to the relevant law and some resources. When reading this post by Grapevine, I realised many people may not be aware that senior leadership and HR teams have a positive duty to not only address sexual harassment claims, but to actively prevent it. So here is an easy breakdown (with references) to what this duty is. All references are to the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth) which can be found here: https://lnkd.in/gDdh93_v Any “employer” must make “reasonable and proportionate” measures to eliminate sexual harrasment (s 47C(1)) This likely means that larger organisations with larger budgets (and HR teams) have a higher standard than smaller businesses. “Sexual harassment” is defined as someone making an “unwelcome sexual advance”, “request for sexual favours” or acts in a “sexual nature”. (s 28A(1)) To judge whether something amounts to sexual harassment, courts will ask if a “reasonable person” would think there was a “possibility” that the victim would be “offended, humiliated or intimidated” by the offender’s actions (s 28A(1)) This means that a reasonable person thinks someone would DEFINITELY be offended, just that there is a POSSIBILITY of offence. This goes some way in addressing the defence of “I was just joking” that many people call on to excuse their actions. This duty includes a duty not to harm, or threaten to harm, any person who brings a complaint under the Act (s 47A).
