?? Last week we delivered our first workshop with Leonardo Hotels as part of their ILM Level 3 apprenticeship, utilising the #apprenticeshiplevy to upskill their future managers and talent. ??? As part of this apprenticeship we will be focusing the first few workshops on enhancing our self-awareness, looking at topics such as; ?? Challenging our mindsets towards managing and developing others ?? Identifying our 'blind spots' with our team using the Johari Window model ?? Using DISC methodology to better understand our behaviours and communication preferences and how we can be perceived by others ?? Reviewing our strengths and development areas across the Five Areas of Emotional Intelligence to become a more emotionally intelligent leader ??♀? Understanding what motivates us and aligning our behaviours to support these ?? Reviewing our time management skills and what principles we can implement in the workplace to manage our time and our team's time better. ?? Completing an Emotional Quotient self-assessment to identify our EQ strengths and development areas. ??♀? Understanding what motivates us and how this may differ from our team and what we can do to incentivise different motivators in the workplace. ???? Reviewing the behaviours of an inclusive leader and what we can do to create a more inclusive environment for our teams. ?? Since 2017, the Chicago Apprentice Network has grown from three founding companies to more than 110 companies across multiple industries––and over 2,000 apprenticeships completed. What is the secret?? ? The Business-Higher Education Forum and the Business Roundtable released a case study (linked below) featuring five "Apprentice Network Success Factors," which include: ? 1. Work with local sustainability partner(s) who have experience in regional workforce development and/or higher education. 2. Show the business value and ROI of #apprenticeship (and other work-based learning models) relative to business and talent goals. 3. Drive employer-to-employer dialogue to support best-practice sharing across apprenticeship models. 4. Engage cross-sector organizations to connect local resources across business, talent, higher education, etc. 5.
