We got our first customer complaint in months (maybe years) yesterday. Proper angry levels. And it hurts more than it should. One of our super loyal, coffee drinking customers got in touch and tore strips off us for being offensive. They didn't appreciate a sticker we placed on their coffee delivery. We're all a bit gutted. We test everything and these words made people smile. It’s tempting to throw out all the stickers, backtrack and take our medicine. We have to learn from it. BUT... Our world is all about making people smile. These stickers are designed by the people who know us best; our team. It’s our tone, our voice and a bit of fun. And so, do we pull the stickers to keep a customer...(What message does that send to the team?) Or....back the team and their judgement as the greatest custodians of Paddy & Scott's? I don’t yet know the answer, but I do know we’re not for everyone… #FuellingAmbition
