Unregistered SMS Traffic WILL BE BLOCKED as of 12/1/24!!! We are getting a lot of questions about this, and how this will affect businesses. Feel free to reach out to me, and we can help you navigate what needs to be done. See below for more info: Starting December 1, 2024, U.S. carriers like Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile will block any SMS traffic that isn't registered through The Campaign Registry (TCR). This change is part of an effort to reduce spam and ensure message quality. Businesses that rely on SMS for customer service, appointment reminders, billing notices, and important updates will need to register their SMS campaigns to avoid disruptions. The registration process involves several steps, including brand registration and campaign registration, to ensure compliance with industry standards. The process can be complex and time-consuming, requiring detailed information and adherence to additional requirements for opt-in forms, terms of service, and privacy policies. https://lnkd.in/gmxv6R3V

figured out the craziest thing this week. invalid emails dont always bounce back. The domain you send them to just hangs on to it and no one ever sees it. (They do this so spammers don’t know that the email didnt land anywhere because then theyd try resending to an alternative address). Meanwhile, you think your still getting in touch with the person, when in reality there’s no one on the other side. It’s even more painful because if it wouldve bounced back at least you’d be able to try a different email until it delivers successfully. To make things worse, ISPs still count those invalid deliveries as bounces when they’re assessing your sender reputation. Basically if you dont verify your emails before you send them the only way to know if they’re actually getting to someone is if they respond wtf google ?? #deliverability #coldemail #verifyemails

Does your organisation send more than 5000 emails a day to customers with Google and Yahoo email IDs? Does your organisation engage 3rd party marketing, sales and customer engagement tools to send emails out to customers? If the answer to these questions is yes, it is time to look into rolling out a DMARC policy for your organisation's email domain. A DMARC policy in place will help others know which emails are originating from you and are not scams. Why now? On October 3, 2023,?Google?and?Yahoo?announced requirements that beginning February 2024, bulk senders must have?DMARC?in place. How would you like to initiate a risk-based conversation on implementing DMARC at your organisation? ? Work with your marketing and sales team to understand their need to send emails out to customers. Help them understand the potential impact of their inability to reach current and potential customers because the organisation domain is not DMARC compliant. ? Work with other business units that may send bulk emails but have a slightly different use case. Help them articulate the potential impact on their operations due to the absence of a DMARC policy. ? Finally, talk to them about additional benefits the organisation can have by having a DMARC policy. #dmarc #emailsecurity

???? Why is Email Deliverability More Crucial Than Ever? With recent updates from Google and Yahoo Mail, ensuring your emails reach inboxes has become imperative. Here’s why technical setups like SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are non-negotiables: 1. SPF (Sender Policy Framework) - Confirms your emails come from a trusted sender, reducing the risk of them being marked as spam. 2. DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) - Adds a digital signature to your emails, proving they haven’t been tampered with during transit. 3. DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) - Combines SPF and DKIM, providing a policy framework that helps email receivers determine how to handle emails not meeting authentication standards. With stricter filtering algorithms, these setups are your best bet in ensuring your message lands where it should. Don’t let your emails get lost in the abyss of spam folders! ???? #EmailMarketing #Deliverability #TechTips

On April 4, 2024, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) updated its regulations on robocalls and robotexts to give consumers more control over the calls they receive. These changes are part of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Key changes include: Clearer ways to opt out:?Consumers can now revoke their consent to receive robocalls or robotexts using any reasonable method, such as phone calls, emails, or text messages. Faster response times:?Businesses must now process opt-out requests within a reasonable timeframe. Defining the scope of opt-outs:?Businesses must clarify the types of calls or texts a consumer is opting out of to ensure their wishes are respected. These new rules aim to make it significantly easier for consumers to protect themselves from unwanted calls and texts.
