In their session they also discuss how to monitor a compromised switch. Monitoring a compromised switch is no easy task. The sheer traffic volume makes traditional methods, like network tapping, impractical. To tackle this challenge, our IR team utilized the switch’s built-in monitoring mechanisms. By leveraging #Syslog, we tracked critical activities, including login attempts and suspicious command execution.
