Dear employees and employers, this one is for all of us. Have you ever worried about a colleague's bad behavior toward you or noticed when a work buddy starts isolating themselves and stays silent in the workplace? It doesn’t just affect their professional and personal life—it also has a strong negative impact on the culture, atmosphere, interpersonal interactions, and even the work, productivity, creativity, and ultimately everyone else in the workplace. I am once again thankful to Girl Power Talk for providing us with a space to deal with such matters. First of all, they are amazing listeners, and they always do their best to understand an employee’s situation, offering support without losing faith in them. Reflecting on my previous workplace, and hearing from friends in different companies, I notice that we don’t have access to such advantages or support. When we are on the path to change, it’s clear that not everyone welcomes it with open arms. Some corporate companies and managers—not leaders—either fail to notice or don’t see it as their responsibility, or even consider it outside the scope of their business and workplace concerns.
