Hunger is a year-round challenge, but this month and this day serve as a reminder to come together and make a difference. Millions of people across the country, including families and children, face food insecurity every day. After the September 11th attacks, David Paine and Jay Winuk—who lost his brother Glenn, a volunteer firefighter—sought to redefine this day by making it one of service. What started as a simple idea has grown into the largest day of service in America, with over 30 million people dedicating their time to help others each year. At Ridiculous Engineering, we’ve committed to service by raising awareness about hunger and supporting the millions of families facing food insecurity. Today, as we reflect on the significance of this movement, we encourage everyone to get involved. ??? As we journey through Lent, a season of reflection and renewal, let's draw upon our faith to shine a light on the darkness of human trafficking. This period calls us to reflect not just on personal growth but on how we can serve others, especially the most vulnerable among us. ?? Scripture inspires us to 'act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God' (Micah 6:8). These words remind us of our duty to fight against injustice, including the scourge of trafficking that affects our communities both near and far. ?? Lent is a time to consider what we can give up, but also what we can give back. Let this season motivate us to give our time, effort, and resources towards ending trafficking. Whether through volunteering, educating ourselves and others, or supporting survivor services, each action we take plants seeds of hope and change. ?? Our faith teaches us the power of collective action guided by compassion and justice. As a community, we can be a beacon of hope for those caught in the grip of trafficking. Together, we can build a world where freedom and dignity are upheld for everyone. ?? Feed My Starving Children/CGI Plymouth Meeting PA Office On?May 17th, an event that will resonate in the hearts of many took place, thanks to the organizational prowess of?John Blazosky. In a remarkable display of community and corporate synergy, team members united with our?client and other vendor partners at?Del Val University. Our collective aim? To strike a blow against the scourge of hunger affecting children across the globe. The day was marked by an atmosphere of hope and determination. Together, we channeled our efforts into a cause greater than ourselves, transforming despair into hope and hunger into satisfaction. The results of our collaboration were nothing short of inspiring: 433 Boxes Packed 93,528 Meals Provided 256 Children?will now have meals every day for an entire year. These numbers are not just statistics; they represent lives touched, futures brightened, and the spirit of humanity at its best. Did You Know??Hunger claims the lives of nearly half of all children under 5 years old worldwide. It’s a harrowing reality that underscores the importance of initiatives like ours. The impact of our event is a testament to what can be achieved when we come together for a common cause. As we reflect on our success, let’s carry forward the momentum. The fight against child hunger is ongoing, and it’s a battle we are committed to. Let’s continue to make a difference, one meal, one child at a time.
