?? Leaving the Best Job of My Career – Here’s What I Learned ??
In the summer, I stepped away from a role that was not just a job but a journey filled with purpose, challenges, and incredible people. Leaving Reason wasn’t easy because it was the best experience of my career.
Here’s why:
?? We Built More Than a Business – We Built a Culture. At Reason, our People First ethos wasn’t just a slogan—it was our DNA. It’s where people felt safe to be themselves, make mistakes, and constantly push their boundaries. Every day, I watched our team show up not because they had to, but because they wanted to.
?? Clients Became Friends, and Friends Became Partners. It wasn’t just business—it was personal. Our clients didn’t see us as suppliers; they saw us as partners in their success. That level of trust transformed the way we worked and built something truly collaborative.
?? Living Our Values Wasn’t Just a Goal, It Was Our Playbook. We weren’t just saying the right things; we were living them. We empowered our team to innovate, fail forward, and succeed together. It’s not every day you get to work with people who believe in you as much as you believe in them.
?? Our Founders Knew When to Lean In. Credit to our founders for recognising they needed help to add structure and scale the business. They invited me into their vision, and together, we built a framework that could grow with us. Their humility and foresight were instrumental in our success.
?? We Worked Hard, We Succeeded, and Then We Scaled. And the best part? We were lucky enough to sell the business, not because we aimed for an exit, but because we built something that was too valuable to ignore.
Walking away was tough, but I’m grateful for every challenge, every late night, and every moment that made us who we were. Reason was a place where great work happened, and the team always came first.
To the team, thank you for being the reason behind Reason. ?? ??
