One of the approaches we have employed while undertaking community engagement with Forezava is the integration of indigenous language and messaging when engaging community members on multiple platforms. Yes, I know most of you won't hear a word. But then remember the most appropriate approach should trigger LOCAL PEOPLE, TO CREATE LOCAL SOLUTIONS FOR LOCAL PROBLEMS. While Climate change remains a global existential threat it is important to package messaging to reach the people within local indigenous communities. Interestingly they have a crucial role to play considering that most of them might be victims of misinformation and disinformation around Climate Change. Thanks to those enabling our work! ??? Reflecting on an incredible experience as a steering committee member of the Climate & YOUth Summit 2024. The summit is focused on the vital role of youth-led climate action, bringing together passionate young leaders, activists, and experts from across the globe. ?? The theme of "the role of youth in climate action" was timely and essential, as we continue to witness the urgency of addressing the climate crisis. While I am energised to have been a part of the steering committee, I recognize that my role was just one small piece in a much larger effort ?? One of the most rewarding moments of the summit was having the opportunity to being a speaker in the ?closing session ?of the intergenerational dialogue. I had the privilege of not only answering questions from the senior leader and audience but also posing questions to a senior leader, including: ??How can youth and senior leaders collaborate while maintaining the unique perspectives and innovations of each generation? ??What are the key barriers to effective collaboration across generations, and how can we work together to overcome them? As I reflected on the responses, I was deeply inspired by the shared commitment from both youth and senior leader to strengthen global collaboration in tackling climate change. It was clear that youth must continue to lead the way, but that the wisdom and experience of senior leaders are crucial to making the change we all envision. ????
