It’s #WorldMentalHealthDay —a day to bring awareness and advocacy to mental health and the stigma that still surrounds it. The more we talk about it, the more we normalize it. The more normal it is, the more people will feel comfortable sharing and seeking the mental health support they need. Ipsos conducted a study across 31 countries to uncover some hard-hitting stats: ?? It’s estimated that 1 in 5 adults live with a mental illness ?? In the past year, 39% of people say they’ve taken time away from work due to stress ?? 58% of people globally think about their mental wellbeing often ?? 78% of people think mental health is just as important as physical health ?? Women are more likely than men to report stress impacting their daily lives, and they’re more likely to say they felt depressed to the point they felt sad or hopeless almost every day for a couple of weeks or more Let's talk about it. Put your mental health first—today and every day. Let us know if there's more we can do to support you and your mental health at work; we're always looking for ways to be better at supporting our team. I'm also available to help you find a local mental health provider in our area & network if you need help finding resources covered by our insurance plans. ?? HR

When someone gets injured at work, it can take a toll on their MENTAL HEALTH. The pain and limitations from the injury can lead to feelings of frustration and depression. Dealing with medical treatments, insurance claims, and financial strain can also add stress. These factors can sometimes result in PTSD or anxiety disorders. Fear of re-injury or being unable to return to work can worsen these feelings. Employers should understand how work injuries can affect mental health and offer support to employees. This could include counseling services, help returning to work gradually, or guidance with workers comp. It's important to address employees' physical and mental health needs to promote their well-being and recovery. Good morning! Hello Tuesday! May you have a great day ahead. This month, we observe National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, shining a light on the unique mental health struggles experienced by racial and ethnic minorities across the United States. Shockingly, in 2020, fewer than half of African Americans sought mental health care, reflecting similar trends among other racial groups. These disparities are exacerbated by barriers such as social stigma and inadequate access to insurance coverage. As a Black-owned business, we stand committed to promoting mental wellness and breaking down these barriers for all individuals in our community. #MentalHealth #BreakTheStigma #NationalMinorityMentalHealthAwarenessMonth
