Any tips out there for AMAZING first meetings? I’m about to host my first-ever Long Angle quarterly meeting as the #Detroit Regional Director, and I’ve got all the nerves and excitement that come with being the new kid on the block. ?? To be honest, I’m walking into this with a lot of uncertainty. I haven’t met most of the people attending, and many of them have been in the group longer than I have. But what excites me the most is the opportunity to change something that so many of us are feeling these days: the disconnection. We’ve all spent so much time isolated, divided, and glued to our screens, that it’s easy to forget how meaningful in-person interactions can be. I want this meeting to be more than just a typical gathering—I want it to remind everyone of the power of community and the joy that comes from real, face-to-face connection. My goal is to create an event that people walk away from feeling re-energized, excited, and eager for the next one. I want this to be an experience where people come together, have fun, and feel like they’re part of a community who cares about them and reminds us what it means to have fun and be truly connected. For those of you who have led events like this, what’s your best advice for making it unforgettable? How can I make sure people leave feeling like they had an incredible time and can’t wait to come back?
