Our operations team unloaded this railcar filled with 60' lengths of Boise Cascade Company VersaLam LVL (laminated veneer lumber) which was received direct from Boise Cascade's mill. This railcar was received at our 10 acre facility in Newark, NJ which features a rail siding which can receive upwards of 20 rail cars at a time. This significantly reduced the number of tractor trailers that would typically have been used to ship this quantity of material to our locations in New Jersey & New York. Five of Kuiken Brothers nine locations feature active rail sidings which provides us with direct access to West Coast lumber mills. We have contracted with the premier lumber mills in North America to ensure a consistent supply of “premium” lumber at our locations in New Jersey and New York.
