???????????????? ?????????????? ????????????’?? ???????????? ???????? ?????? ???????????????? ???????? ?? ???????????????? ????????????! Last weekend, Horfield Leisure Centre in Bristol opened its doors for a jam-packed Family Open Day. The centre celebrated the completion of its refurbishment with a variety of free activities and the presence of two sporting stars – Team GB sprinter Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and professional freestyle footballer Rebaz Mohammed.? The event saw a large turnout from the local community, who enjoyed inflatable swim sessions, bubble football, a studio tour and soft play – the most popular session being the fully-booked soft play sessions.? Upgrades to the facility have included an extended gym with new state-of-the-art equipment and mezzanine floor, Bristol themed soft play, a new studio with group cycling area, a modernised extended café and a revamped reception. The squash courts, sports hall and changing facilities at the leisure centre have also been refurbished. Part of the major investment includes more green energy saving initiatives, such as an additional 120 rooftop solar panels and LED lighting throughout the building.? Cameron Bate, contract manager for Everyone Active - SLM, said: “Our open day was a fantastic success. We welcomed both new and existing members to tour our new-look facility and engage in a huge range of classes – all of which were brilliantly received and enjoyed by everyone.? “It has been a joy to showcase the significant investment and transformation at Horfield Leisure Centre for the community in partnership with Bristol City Council. We hope this will continue to be an inclusive space where people of all ages and abilities can work toward their health and fitness goals.”
