Europe’s leading cable manufacturer’s CEOs praised Mrs Simson for the prominent visibility that the EU Commission and all EU Institutions have placed on electricity networks and grid technologies over the last two years. They urged that these should remain at the centre of the EU policy agenda for the next legislative term. Europacable and their member companies confirmed their determination to work with the new EU Institutions to empower Europe’s sustainable decarbonisation.

We’re excited that GTI Energy was selected to lead three of these transformational energy technology projects from U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)! The first is a project with Dow Chemical and Montserrat Almeida to develop a process that converts municipal solid waste (MSW) into syngas by demonstrating an electrified twin-pyrolysis-auger coupled with a thermal-reactor to make ash free syngas that can then be synthesized into methanol or other chemicals while reducing carbon emissions energy consumption by 60-70% compared to conventional methanol production. The 2nd is an industrial pre-FEED study with Blue Sky Infrastructure to examine SLB Capturi’s advanced liquid amine solvent system to capture post-combustion CO2?from SMR flue gas at the Mosaic Faustina ammonia production facility (one of the largest ammonia plants in the U.S.) and send it to CO2?transport and storage facilities operated by RPS Capture. This project has a high potential for impact by advancing a replicable modularized system with no net consumption of water and a 10-fold reduction in solvent losses, enabling extremely low energy use for CO2 capture. Under the 3rd project, GTI Energy aims to develop and demonstrate an advanced high hydrogen flexible flame 3D printed low emissions matrix burner technology. The project plans to identify methods to measure?the quality of cooking performance using hydrogen/natural gas blends. The proposed research plan, if successful, would address the lack of adoption of decarbonizing equipment and technologies in commercial food service by demonstrating cooking performance for equipment using hydrogen/natural gas blends. This information would allow manufacturers and operators to adjust equipment designs and cooking methods to better work with hydrogen to promote?a reduction in energy consumption and a significant?reduction in emissions.?
