LightFury Games, co-founded by former Unacademy Partner and CMO Karan Shroff, has announced the inauguration of its first studio in Bengaluru on July 9th. This milestone follows the startup's successful $8.5 million seed funding round in April 2024, led by Blume Ventures, with participation from Japanese firm Mixi, Gemba Capital, and notable angels including Cred founder Kunal Shah and Unacademy co-founder Gaurav Munjal. Founded in January 2024 by Shroff, Tina Balachandran, and Anurag Banerjee, all industry veterans, LightFury Games aims to create top-tier AAA titles, starting with mobile games and expanding to consoles. Located near Bengaluru International Airport, the newly opened 60-seater studio features cutting-edge infrastructure essential for game development.
