Who are the people in your life who hold you accountable for showing up as your best self? For me, it’s the people who care enough to tell me when I’m off the mark—not to criticize or embarrass me, but to help me grow. I’ve given people at all levels of my life permission to call me out when necessary. From frontline team members and close colleagues to my EO forum mates who push me to think differently, to my children who have high expectation of me as a father, mentor and increasingly as a friend– they all challenge me in ways that make me a better leader, parent, and person. It’s not always easy to hear constructive feedback, but it’s a gift that keeps me grounded and accountable. These honest conversations, rooted in care, are what I value the most and each one has only strengthened my bond with the person who took the care to have the tough conversation with me. Who in your life helps you grow by holding you accountable?
