During this time of year, EquiTrust always seeks to give back to our communities as corporate citizenship is one of the key values on which our company was built. ? Recently, our West Des Moines employees once again partnered with MEALS FROM THE HEARTLAND and joined their 17th Annual Hunger fight — their biggest event of the year aiming to recruit 4,000 volunteers to package 2 million meals! This outstanding organization provides pre-packaged meals to victims of catastrophic storms, fires, pandemics, and even war. For two days, our employees volunteered and packaged hundreds of meals to ship around the world to help eradicate hunger. ? Furthermore, our Chicago employees rolled up their sleeves and joined the fight against hunger with the Greater Chicago Food Depository. This incredible organization serves as Chicago’s food bank, working tirelessly to fight hunger throughout Cook County by providing food for individuals and families in need. Each year, they distribute millions of meals and collaborate with local partners to ensure no one goes hungry. Our employees worked tirelessly to repack donated food and prepare it for distribution all around the city. ? We are so proud and thankful of our employees who donated their time and energy for such great causes. We recognize that it’s not only a chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others but also a great way to connect with fellow colleagues while making a difference.
