Europe relies on a secure energy supply, but at the same time we must cut emissions. The?Troll field shows that achieving both is possible. In our view, electrification is the most efficient measure we have to reduce emissions from our production of oil and gas. In 1996, Troll A became the first platform on the Norwegian continental shelf to be powered from shore.
