From all of us to all of you—thank you. "We honor generations of America’s veterans—patriots who have stood on the frontlines of freedom and kept the light of liberty shining bright around the world. Just as they have kept the ultimate faith in our Nation, we must keep ultimate faith in them." #VeteransDay

To all veterans, including immigrant veterans, thank you for your service to the United States of America. Your courage and sacrifice deeply appreciated. Today, as I reflected on the unique contributions of immigrant veterans in a time when anti-immigrant rhetoric continues to grow louder, I thought this recent study featured in Defense One revealed something powerful: immigrants show an even greater willingness to serve in the U.S. military than their native-born peers. Article Link: https://lnkd.in/ga97TPT3 Sadly, this powerful truth, which highlights the patriotism of immigrants, has been drowned out in our national conversation about immigration by misguided claims that immigrants detract from our country. To the contrary, immigrant veterans make invaluable contributions that strengthen both our military and our society, proving that embracing diversity is a strategic advantage for our nation, not a liability. Every day, immigrant veterans stand ready to make sacrifices for the freedoms we hold dear, reminding us that true patriotism transcends borders. As we honor the service of veterans today, including immigrant veterans, let’s also recognize the importance of creating an inclusive America where those willing to serve are met with respect and opportunity, regardless of where they were born. #ImmigrantVeterans #DiversityIsOurStrength #ImmigrantsMakeAmericaGreat
This Veterans Day, we proudly honor the courageous men and women who have served in the U.S. military - including the thousands of immigrant veterans who embodied the American dream in service of our nation. ?? Did you know that there are over 700,000 immigrant veterans living in the US? At Ellis Porter, we are inspired by the stories of immigrant veterans who served with pride, dedication, and an unwavering belief in America values. Their contributions remind us that America’s strength lies in its diversity and a shared vision of a better future. To all veterans, thank you for your service. And to immigrant veterans, thank you for choosing to serve this nation and make it stronger for us all. #VeteransDay #ImmigrantVeterans

Veterans Day is a national holiday in the United States that honors all military members who have served, whether in times of peace or conflict. The holiday is observed on November 11th and has multiple meanings, including: Commemorating the end of World War I: Veterans Day originated in 1919 as Armistice Day, the first anniversary of the 1918 armistice that ended World War I. The armistice was signed on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Honoring veterans' service and sacrifices: Veterans Day is a day to recognize the dedication of veterans and the sacrifices made by their families. Remembering the importance of veterans' service: As the country moves its efforts further away from wars, Veterans Day serves as a reminder of the important sacrifices veterans have made. Some ways to honor veterans on Veterans Day include attending events, visiting sites, or simply showing your appreciation for veterans. It can be as simple as "Thank you for your service" or "Thank you for serving our country" What are you doing today to honor those who have served? #veteransday #forevergrateful #agwomenconnect #thankyouforyourservice

Challenging Perspectives on Veterans Day and Military Service As we approach Veterans Day, I find myself reflecting on how we view military service and the concept of “glorifying” those who serve. Around the world, soldiers are often cast as heroes, symbols of courage and sacrifice. Yet, there’s another side we rarely discuss: what it means to send young people into wars that may not serve clear moral or legal purposes, where they risk—and often lose—their lives for interests that can be difficult to justify. In the U.S., the way we honor veterans can sometimes feel like a cultural ritual designed to shield us from confronting the ethical and political questions around these conflicts. Glorification can provide comfort to families, yet is it not also a way to obscure the darker reality of how these wars impact people and societies across the globe? My question is: how can we genuinely support veterans while also promoting a conversation around the policies that send them into harm’s way? What does meaningful honor and support look like when we view it through a lens of responsibility and accountability? I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this complex topic.

Today is Veterans Day—a time to honor those who have served, sacrificed, and dedicated their lives for our country and our freedom. It is disheartening, however, that many companies don’t formally recognize or celebrate this day. Given that U.S. organizations (and beyond) benefit from the security and liberties protected by our veterans, acknowledging this day isn’t just symbolic; it’s a demonstration of respect, gratitude, and unity. One day… That’s all we ask to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and service of our military veterans. For many organizations, observing Veterans Day as a day off isn’t standard practice, but it should be. This isn’t about shutting down operations for the sake of it—it’s about recognizing the contributions of those who served, giving employees time to reflect, and demonstrating real gratitude as a community. To those companies that take the day to honor our veterans, thank you. For those who don’t, let’s remember: it’s not just a holiday; it’s a chance to show respect to the men and women who’ve given so much to protect our way of life. Most importantly: To all veterans—thank you for your service past and present. You truly define the ethos of what makes America great! #America #Veterans #Unity

This Memorial Day we recognize and honor the sacrifice of our service members. We remember those we lost and are grateful to every soul who fought for our country. Thank you to our American soldiers, veterans, military, and service workers. May God strengthen those still in the field and may there be a safe trip home. Eureka Wealth Solutions will be pausing today to reflect and remember, full of gratitude; for many among us have paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we may be free. We are the United States of America because of the bravery of those who have stood strong on the front lines. #ImpactInvesting #investments #wealthmanagement #financialplanning

May is Military Appreciation Month, a time to honor and recognize the contributions and sacrifices of the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Every day, American service members and their families make the selfless decision to help defend our freedoms and safety around the globe. Military life often involves huge sacrifices – whether it’s relocating far from family and friends or service members’ spouses giving up their own careers to keep their family unit together. There are countless ways to show your appreciation and give back to our veterans, active military personnel and their families. One of the simplest ways of showing appreciation is to say, “thank you.” You might also consider giving a military spouse a hand in their day-to-day lives. If you know a deployed military family, why not drop off a meal, offer to babysit or take their dog for a walk? And if you’re a business owner, giving back can be as easy as providing a military discount. These small gestures can go a long way in supporting service members and their families. As a veteran myself, I understand the importance of support and camaraderie within the military community and I encourage you to join me in showing appreciation in whatever way you can, both this month and always. #MilitaryAppreciationMonth #MilitaryAppreciation #Veterans #SupportOurVeterans

This month has been designated National Veterans and Military Families Month. Here is an excerpt from President Biden’s Proclamation; “Each veteran and military family represents a link in the chain of honor that stretches back to our founding days, unwavering in their devotion to their loved ones who served in uniform. This month we honor all our military and veteran families. They too serve and sacrifice to answer our Nation’s call to duty. We owe them a debt of honor we can never repay. I often say that, as a Nation, we have many obligations, but only one is truly sacred: to prepare and equip those we send into harm’s way and to care for them and their families when they come home” We enjoy the benefits of freedom in this country in no small part because of the strength of our military. That military rests upon the rock of the families that continuously support them whether they are present or off performing their varied missions. Those families, in turn, rely on support from their communities when needed. So what we can do this month and every month is reach out and embrace our military veterans and families, ensure they are fully integrated into our communities and find out what we can do to assist them. An excellent way for employers to do this is to recruit, hire, reskill, upskill and retain members of this community, again not this month but every month. You’ll be amazed at what they bring to the table, and the benefits your business will reap. #militaryfamilies #veterans #honor

It also recognizes the contributions those individuals made and experiences they gained serving our country. In practice, that looks like organizing and executing service projects to support military families, and hosting and sponsoring events that raise awareness for Perdue and Perdue-adjacent service members, veterans, and the organizations that support them. In this video, learn more about how and why the VARG is such an important part of Perdue’s culture from Hillary Wright and Derek Leitner.
