The CRO CUBE mission is nearing its end, and the satellite is about to be launched into space soon. ?????? This is a big step for a small country like Croatia, and we are very happy and proud that we were able to participate in the creation of 3D animations and visualizations and thus help in the realization of such an important project.?? https://lnkd.in/dP8hfWNC https://crocube.hr/en/? The Republic of Croatia can use CubeSat technology in numerous ways, improving various sectors and contributing to the general progress of the country. ?? Here are ten key applications of CubeSat satellites that can significantly contribute to the development of Croatia: 1. Agriculture and environmental protection?? CubeSat satellites enable precise monitoring of crop condition, soil moisture and detection of plant diseases. They can also monitor air and water pollution, helping to conserve natural resources. 2. Education and skills development???? The integration of CubeSat technology into the education system encourages interest in STEM fields among young people, allowing them to learn hands-on and work on real space missions. 3. Disaster management?? CubeSats enable the rapid collection of data on natural disasters such as fires, floods and earthquakes, enabling timely response and coordination of emergency services. 4. Urban planning and infrastructure?? Monitoring urban development and infrastructure using CubeSats can improve city planning, identify traffic congestion, and plan new roads or construction projects. 5. Security and defense? CubeSats can monitor borders and monitor potential security threats, improving national security and enabling rapid responses to crisis situations. 6. Maritime surveillance?? Monitoring of ships and maritime activities in the Adriatic Sea, helping to combat illegal activities and ensuring the safety of maritime traffic. 7. Meteorology and climate change? CubeSats can provide data on weather conditions and climate change, helping scientists understand and predict weather patterns. 8. Telecommunications?? Improving communication networks, especially in remote and hard-to-reach areas, ensuring better access to the Internet and telecommunications. 9. Forest condition monitoring?? CubeSat technology can monitor forest health and prevent illegal logging, helping to preserve biodiversity and protect natural habitats. 10. Scientific research???? Providing a platform for various scientific experiments in space, enabling research into new technologies and materials in a microgravity environment.

??? ???????????????????????? ??????????????????????: ???????? ?????????? ?????????? ?????????? ?? Water, the source of life, is essential for our planet. To better understand the changes in this resource and the impact of climate change on the water cycle, scientists rely on the complementarity between spatial data and in situ data. Let's explore the benefits of this integrated approach together. ?? ?? ???????????? ???????? ???????? ?????????? Satellites provide global geographic coverage, allowing the monitoring of vast regions, including remote or difficult-to-access areas. They are excellent observers of large-scale natural phenomena (floods, droughts, etc.), both spatially and temporally. ?? ?????????????????? ?????? ???????????????????? ???? ?????????? However, observation from space is not enough. Satellite observations are frequent but limited by revisit periods. Therefore, it is essential to return to Earth to collect in situ data. These field measurements, which are highly precise, allow us to: ? Measure parameters not observable by satellite: ocean salinity, surface velocity, river flow rates, etc. ? Capture local and sudden variations such as floods. ? Offer continuous monitoring at a fine scale, essential for resource management and decision-making in emergencies. ? Calibrate and validate satellites to ensure the reliability of their data. ?? ????????????-????: ?? ?????????? ???????????? ???? ?????????????????? ??????/?????? Thanks to its technical expertise and advanced technologies, vorteX-io contributes to the calibration and validation of satellite data. We collaborate with space agencies on missions like #SWOT and projects like St3TART and St3TART Follow On, to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of satellite measurements. ?? ???????? ?????????????? ?????? ???????????? ?????????????????????????? Combining these two types of data provides a more comprehensive and accurate view of water resources and hydrological processes. Water cycle modeling becomes more reliable, and new decision-support tools for resilient water management can emerge to benefit civil protection, agriculture, energy, tourism... As water-related challenges become more complex with climate change, this integrated approach represents a powerful tool to better understand the water cycle and its evolution, predict natural disasters, and adapt our resource management systems accordingly. Earth Observation and Navigation markets are set to double by 2033.
The new report from EUSPA - EU Agency for the Space Programme about the Earth Observation (EO) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) markets shows that these areas are going to get a lot bigger. By 2033, it's expected that the EO market will almost double in size, going from 3.4 billion euros to about 6 billion euros. The GNSS market is also set to more than double, jumping from 260 billion euros to nearly 580 billion euros. This big increase is because more people need better ways to watch over the environment, need more accurate location information for getting around, and because EO and GNSS technologies are getting better. These technologies are used for keeping an eye on climate change, planning out cities, and farming. The detailed report gives useful information about what transportation and moving around might look like in the future. Also, it's interesting to note that the EUSPA's main office is in Prague, which highlights the city's importance in developing these important technologies. The comprehensive report is available in the comment ?? #cityplanning #mobility #navigatemobility ?EUSPA, ?EU Agency for the Space Programme
