??Starting a new chapter as a Champion in my company's EBRG program ?? Today, I’m proud to share that I’ve taken another step in my commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI&B). I’ve joined as a Champion in the DEI&B Champions Cohort 2025 program, a space dedicated to driving positive change within our organization. My goal is to actively contribute to: ? Promoting an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued and respected. ? Fostering initiatives that support professional growth, well-being, and collaboration. ? Creating impact not only within our company but also in the broader community. I firmly believe that small steps can lead to big changes. I’m excited about the opportunities this role will bring, the lessons I’ll learn, and the meaningful connections I’ll build along the way. ?? It was a privilege to join the panel this morning at the virtual D&I Changemakers Conference, organised by Think Tank Diversity Hub in Poland. Alongside my fellow panelists, Harriet Padina and Marla Barr, we explored the theme: What does DEI Excellence mean, and how do we achieve it? Here are some key takeaways from our discussion: ?? Integrating DEI with business strategy: senior leader commitment and sponsorship are essential for driving DEI initiatives forward ?? Leveraging data effectively: collecting and measuring data is crucial to shaping the right strategies and tracking their success ?? Commercial focus matters: DEI teams must ensure their strategies align with business priorities and contribute directly to measurable outcomes ?? Acknowledging risks and challenges: a major barrier to achieving DEI excellence is when it’s perceived as unrelated to core business objectives. Without this alignment, true DEI excellence is unattainable ?? The STRONG ACC team would like to wish our 400+ organizations a happy, healthy and bright 2025! ?? We are grateful for the incredible partnerships, shared vision and collaborative spirit that powered our work this past year. We will begin the year by diving into our 2025-2026 Strategic plan. Five workgroups will convene to develop a strategic plan to address the strategies proposed by our Ready from the Start and Pathways to Success Steering Committees and approved by the STRONG ACC Leadership Council. In collective impact, workgroups are the vehicle for partner organizations to come together, plan, collaborate, execute and take collective responsibility for action steps around a specific strategy that will move the needle on one or more key metrics. The workgroups will address the following strategies: ? Family Education and Support ? Early Care and Education ? Community Schools ? Achievable Futures ? Supported and Second-Chance Employment After the strategic plan is presented and approved by the STRONG ACC Leadership Council, it will be shared with our partners and the region. We look forward to the reveal and the subsequent work that follows! Here's to another year of collaboration, innovation and progress. We thank our partners for being part of this journey. There’s a reason it’s called WIN – Women’s Inspiration Network!?*ACHIEVEMENTS* ???? ??Last Friday, I had the privilege of joining an insightful WIN session Philip Morris International with our amazing community. The topic, brilliantly presented by @Agata Szostak and organized by Magdalena Walawska-Nowak centered on something we all wrestle with: 'showcasing our achievements'. ??Agata reminded us of an important truth - sharing our milestones, professional successes, and personal wins isn’t about bragging; it’s about celebrating progress and inspiring others. When we highlight our achievements, we not only acknowledge our hard work but also create opportunities for others to learn, celebrate, and grow alongside us. ??Two thought-provoking questions stood out during the session: 1?? How well do you showcase your achievements? 2?? What holds you back from doing so? ??For many, the fear of being perceived as arrogant or out of touch can be a hurdle. But the reality is this: we all bring unique strengths, perspectives, and experiences to the table, and acknowledging them is a way of embracing our value and driving personal and organizational growth.
