The Top 10% of Venture Capital funds make almost all the money. But what does it take to be a Top 10% VC fund? Marc Andreessen from a16z breaks it down in an interview documented in Nate Silver’s newest book "On The Edge." Check it out: ?????? Andreessen says that for #TopDecile VC funds like a16z, each of their fund portfolios follows a similar breakdown in terms of returns. In essence, ~ 10% of their portfolio companies each produce a return of 10x or greater. (He has more to say about the other 90% of the portfolio, but more on that in a future post) ??
