Today, I had the opportunity to attend an event hosted by the NFO in collaboration with Blacksash that focused on consumer experiences with illegal lenders. It was quite concerning to learn about some of the practices they employ to collect payments from consumers, including: 1. Repossession of property. 2. Taking out life insurance on consumers and applying pressure regarding payments, threatening them with their life for a mere R2000. 3. Charging interest rates that exceed 50%. 4. Withholding SASSA or bank cards. The list goes on... It seems that numerous industries, particularly in the financial sector, are facing significant challenges that require our attention. It's not just consumer education that needs attention, but the poverty most of our nation is experiencing is the core issue we are dealing with.

Odaclass - Pure Negligence . Online Education and Consumer forums in India to support Customer frustration, please note this. I enrolled my daughter in OdaClass for her Grade 9 tuitions and backed off in just 5 days due to valid reasons. This is very well under refund timelines as per company website, but refund has not been processed even after 3 months and 10 days. Still no signs of resolution. This is completely unacceptable and I pitty the situation of customers like me who have no means of strong jurisdication to punish such service providers. I have been tortured multiple times by their mentors asking everytime for reason for refund and saying its impossible. While no one from Support team calls me, mentors have put me to mental torture for the past 2.5 months, with no light of refund till now, inspite of furnishing the transaction and all details in email to oda support team.
