ATA and five other associations representing language service providers across the United States have issued a joint statement opposing President Trump's recent Executive Order 14224, which designates English as the official language of the U.S. and revokes Executive Order 13166. As interpreters (and members of our respective communities) we must: ? Educate LEP individuals about their rights under Title VI and Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act. ? Support providers in maintaining language access services despite the chilling effect of this executive order. ? Support policies that expand language access and speak out against efforts to weaken it. The law still requires meaningful access, but enforcement depends on our collective voice. Other businesses went for strike to stop AI but Associations have got us nowhere, we are not even respected as profession, our profession is not tittled under any job in the list. Union is the way if we want to see changes

2 天前We need a UNION in Pennsylvania. For agencies to respect us as professionals. I have received offers from agencies that doesn’t comply with minimum time, miles and reasonably rates. I’m not a bilingual call center. These agencies offers $25 giftcads to like them over social media, which is not professional or ethical. I don’t feel supported by ATA.
