Is it possible to produce a classic automotive component, which has been manufactured in huge quantities for decades, significantly faster with a new machine solution and thus save costs? This was the question posed to the EMAG developers some time ago, specifically concerning so-called ball studs, which are used in suspension and steering systems, for example. The result is now available with the new VST 50 machine from EMAG. It takes the mass production of ball studs to a new level. Used in combination with a total of three robots, a ball stud leaves the machine every seven seconds. That is twice as fast as previous solutions. How exactly is this possible?
