Monthly town halls are a great way to keep employees updated on the business. This month’s town hall falls on opening day at Fenway for the Red Sox so we will be raffling off a Red Sox blanket and will have the following treats: peanuts ??, cracker jacks, and soft pretzels ??. The Old School Pizzeria Owner, Kenny Pugh, has employed Morningside's Community Protection (CP) clients for over 20 years. He has been a great support for our clients and truly believes that every person deserves a chance. He has long believed in the CP program and has consistently hired one of our clients since starting a partnership with Morningside. Clients employed by Old School typically work around 10 paid employment hours a week. Several times, Kenny has given an opportunity to a client knowing that it may not work out. When that has happened, he has always asked if there was someone else who would like to give working there a shot. Kenny Pugh hasn’t only supported Morningside’s CP program; he has also recently hired one of our Individual Employment (IE) clients to work at Old School. We are grateful to have Old School Pizzeria as an employer partner and are honored to have the opportunity to present them with an Outstanding Employer Award.
