Empowered, Ltd. had the opportunity to work with CHAC Gallery Denver to honor an incredible woman, Lucille Ruibal Rivera as their first legacy honoree at their Mariposa Gala. More than ever we need role models who envision a future of community, compassion, service, and love. Lucille embodied that and even though we didn't have the opportunity to know Lucille, she still had an impact on us. Here's a quote she lived by and one we will embrace in our commitment to making a difference.? ?"Grant me the courage to serve others; for in service there is true life" - Cesar Chavez Videographer: Lalo Barron

Thank you for this very thought provoking post Dennis Howard, PCC A question for my Newfoundland and Labrador colleagues. I am building a Peer Advisory Board of like-minded business leaders that will change everything about the way you do business. If you could be part of a Peer Advisory Group right here in our wonderful province of NL, who would you want around the table? We can make it happen. #teccanada #peeradvisoryboard #levelup #buildingbetterleaders #professionaldevelopment

If you could facilitate one peer group in history who would it be? Please comment below… As a man with 3 daughters this might be my favorite, Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Queen Elizabeth I, Catherine the Great, Susan B. Anthony, Emmeline Pankhurst, Indira Gandhi, Golda Meir, Margaret Thatcher, Angela Merkel, Malala Yousafzai, Condoleeza Rice, and Amelia Earhart all sitting at one table. The determination, grit, and tenacity at this table is unmatched. These women all epitomize what it means to be an Intrepid CEO!!! Vistage Worldwide, Inc. #Vistage #PeerGroup #CEO #IntrepidCEO

Question!?? As Preservationists, are we truly upholding the value of "Authenticity" if we do not create space to research/observe the elements that make a historic sites/structures/landscapes authentic? This is one of many questions I asked myself when creating the program "Consider The Perspective". A panel discussion where Black Leadership gathers together to discuss the importance of preserving the deemed "difficult histories" of Post Emancipation Trail Blazers. To watch this discussion please visit the Levi Jordan Plantation Facebook Page or select the link below for an overview. #CulturalPreservation #HistoricPreservation #Juneteenth #BlackHistory #PreservationDesign #BrazoriaTexas #Plantations #MuseumInterpretation #CulturalHeritage #CommunityDevelopment #CommunityEngagement #BlackLeadership #EmancipationProclamation #Juneteenth

Shared experiences deepen our connection to the past. Be part of the dialogue. When we invite our communities to explore how history is made, we help them understand the importance of including different perspectives. This approach helps everyone feel more comfortable with the fact that history isn't always clear-cut; it's messy and constantly changing. The voices within our communities are crucial to uncovering the stories that have been overlooked or silenced. By working together, we can fill in the gaps and tell a fuller story through oral histories, asking new questions, digging up new evidence, and incorporating local knowledge into our narratives. Together, we can shine a light on the many layers of our shared history. America250 Michigan www.america250mi.org www.america250.org

As we embrace November, we honor Native American Heritage Month—a time to reflect on and celebrate the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Native American communities across the United States. This month serves not only to acknowledge their unique challenges but also to appreciate the vibrant traditions, languages, and stories that have woven into the fabric of our nation's culture. Native American heritage is marked by deep connections to the land, community, and spirituality. Each tribe offers its own distinct customs, languages, and histories that have significantly shaped our society. Recognizing these diverse contributions is essential in fostering a deeper understanding of our shared past and present. This month is a reminder that acknowledging the challenging history of Native Americans is just as important as celebrating their resilience and achievements. From the arts and education to environmental stewardship and social justice, Native American voices have been vital in shaping contemporary discussions and leading the way toward a more inclusive future. Let us come together to not only celebrate Native American Heritage Month but also to commit ourselves to honoring Indigenous voices year-round. By doing so, we ensure that the contributions of Native American communities are recognized, respected, and remembered. Together, we can build a more just and equitable society for all. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #TogetherWeThrive
#NativeAmericanHeritageMonth reminds us to reflect on and honor the histories, voices, and stories that have helped shape our culture. Join us in celebrating this rich heritage this month and beyond.
