The successful delivery of the Training of Trainers (ToT) programme for Joint Committee (JC) workers and management representatives is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the collaborative efforts between the International Labour Organization (ILO) of Qatar, the Ministry of Labour, and the participants involved. This initiative stands as a critical milestone in enhancing the effectiveness of workplace cooperation and fostering an environment of mutual respect and shared responsibility. The certification of 24 Lead Trainers in Modules 1 and 2 on JC roles, responsibilities, and employee participation rights marks a significant step forward in empowering workers and management to engage more meaningfully in the decision-making processes that shape their work environments. By equipping both parties with the necessary knowledge and skills, the programme not only strengthens social dialogue but also cultivates a culture of respect for labor rights, which is integral to achieving decent work for all. Moreover, the additional training of 46 new workers and management representatives in these foundational modules ensures the sustainability of this vital initiative, expanding the reach and impact of the JC training programme. This growing network of well-trained Lead Trainers is set to play a key role in furthering the principles of social dialogue, workers' voice, and collaborative problem-solving within the workplace. This initiative underscores the critical importance of continued investment in training, education, and capacity-building within the realm of labor relations. Through programs like these, we can build more inclusive, resilient, and fair workplaces that contribute to both the well-being of workers and the long-term success of organizations.
