The numerous times I got asked why did we start with email ?? Many wanted us to invent a new channel. Email isn't sexy they said. Why email? 1. Advertising auctions are heating up due to more companies in the market bidding for the attention of the same user. It benefits the ad platforms greatly > CPCs go up and CAC increases fast. 2. CAC on email is low, but making it work is hard. Folks just blast templates. 3. Email restrictions means deliverability tanks. Folks panic. 4. The number of email-focused agencies/services has been growing rapidly. They see the same problem we see that needs to be addressed. 5. Legacy platforms believe deliverability is the responsibility of the client. We believe it's the software's responsibility to help users solve it. 6. Companies typically don't have email deliverability experts in house. 7. Engineering teams typically don't care about email deliverability either. It's seen as low priority to be solved. 8. Slack tried to kill email, but it failed. Email isn't dead. It's well and alive. Invest in email > ??
