Growing up, I always dreamed of becoming a medical doctor. The idea of helping people and making a difference in their lives inspired me. However, as life unfolded, my career path took a different turn. Today, I find myself working in a pharmacy where I juggle multiple roles. I am a pharmacy technician, a junior data analyst, and an aspiring IT professional. In the pharmacy, I use my skills to ensure that patients receive the right medications and guidance, maintaining the high standards of care that first drew me to the medical field. At the same time, my role as a junior data analyst allows me to delve into the data behind healthcare operations, finding patterns and insights that help improve efficiency and outcomes. My journey into the IT world began as I realized the transformative power of technology in healthcare and beyond. I started learning more about IT and found a passion for using technology to solve problems and help businesses thrive. This new direction has opened up exciting opportunities to bridge my healthcare experience with innovative tech solutions. Though my path has diverged from becoming a medical doctor, each step of my career has built upon my initial passion for helping others. Are the entry requirements for a new clinical data manager becoming more specific and more challenging than they used to be........ There has never been a more interesting time to work in clinical data management. The role has changed considerably over the last two decades and more so over the last few years. These changes have not only created a difference in the day-to-day tasks of a clinical data management, but have also created new roles and new career paths. These are great opportunities if you are already in a CDM role but what if you are looking to get into the industry. Have the entry requirements become more specific and more challenging?
