We can’t leave anyone behind, and there’s no time to waste.” That’s Carolina Ortiz, associate executive director of Comunidades Organizando el Poder y la Acción Latina, which is part of Clean Heat Minnesota. The state’s got ambitious climate goals, and it’s making progress on them. And crucial to continuing that progress is cutting down building emissions. That’s why Clean Heat Minnesota’s new report calls for aggressive, widespread adoption of heat pumps. Why? Because heat pumps offer a ton of bang for your buck — both from an economic and climate perspective. Heat pumps can dramatically lower energy bills. And installing one in a home is the single most effective way to shrink its emissions. Heat pumps? You betcha.
