September 11th is a reminder of the lives we lost and the people who stepped up in the face of unimaginable tragedy. Thousands of innocent people died that day, but it also brought out the best in those who banded together to help. First responders charged into danger, everyday citizens became heroes, and our nation stood united. Today, let’s honor their memory by committing to something more. Let’s stand with our military and law enforcement , whose mission is clear—prevent terrorism from ever having the chance to strike again. We owe it to those who died, those who fought to save lives, and those who continue to protect our freedom. This isn’t just about remembrance. It’s about ensuring that something like 9/11 never happens again. For those too young to remember or who were born after the event that changed our world. Pay attention to what we learned. We thought it could never happen - and it did. We thought we were immune from an attack on our soil - and we weren’t. Let’s learn from history and not forget what it tells us. Let’s not let the deaths of our fellow Americans be forgotten. Let’s take the dangers of terrorism here seriously. Let’s provide the resources needed to protect our Country to those that protect us. Sharing two of my short poems while reflecting with deep sorrow on the raging wars in our time... Just War? ? There is no justness in any kind of war driving people homeless, making them nameless erasing their childhood in the cruel memories of time. ? There is no justness In any kind of war whether it is an answer to others’ aggression, vengeance or retaliation or in the pretext of protection. ? There is no justness in all wars being waged that waste blood and love that send out men and women youth and children to the great brink of despair. ?__________________________ Is There Another Way Out? ? When tyrants are exterminated now, new tyrants stand up in the line. When violence is introduced for the greater good over and against the smaller group, screams of hatred and revenge forever haunt. ? When bombs and military force are used to save life, there is no end to shedding of blood. Where are we heading? Isn’t there another way out?

As we continue to hear more and more stories of communal conflicts, it is disheartening to hear that criminals are taking advantage of these situations to commit heinous crimes. The recent murder of soldiers in the Delta community is a clear example of this. I condemn this act in the strongest terms possible. However, I also condemn the retaliation of burning down the community by the soldiers. It is important that communities give maximum support to security forces to provide adequate security for all. The military may have condoned the community down in retaliation, but rather than burn it down, they can work with community leaders to fish out the armed criminals within the creeks. There is a standard in governance, and it is embedded in the constitution. My stand will always be clear: I stand for justice, and I condemn any act of violence against innocent citizens. It is time for us to come together, work with our security forces, and put an end to these senseless killings. #JusticeForAll #EndCommunalConflicts #SecurityForcesNeedOurSupport

Intimate Partner Violence is much more common than you’d think and affects people from all walks of life, including military families. The Department of Justice estimates that 1.3 million women and 835,000 men are victims of physical violence by a partner every year: * Every 9 seconds, a woman in the U.S. is beaten or assaulted by a current or ex-significant other. * 1 in 4 men are victims of some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. The number of U.S. troops killed in Afghanistan and Iraq between 2001 and 2012 is 6,488. The number of women who were murdered by current or ex-male partners during that same time frame is 11,766, according to the Huffington Post.
