The Force USA G12 All-In-One Trainer combines both pin and plate-loaded weights for the ultimate?gym equipment for home. The pin-loaded stack weights are connected to the functional trainer and cable crossover stations from the rear of the structure. Pin loading offers a quick, easy, and safe solution to selecting different weight levels. Can sports performance training be too sport specific? I think so. If all you're doing in the gym is trying to replicate the exact movements of the sport, then performance training is probably increasing the risk of overuse injury by hammering on the same exact movement patterns that are performed in the sport. Every sport degrades the body over time through repetition of a set of movements - a good training program should counteract this. Programs should be designed to increase sport specific athleticism; they should not be designed to look exactly, in every way, like the sport itself.
