Throwback to an Early Build – The Project That Shaped Edgewater Every great company has a defining moment, and for Edgewater Automation, one of our most pivotal projects was born out of a major industry challenge. The Challenge: Whirlpool needed a solution to help their service team efficiently remove and replace 10 million recalled above-range microwaves. They turned to Edgewater to develop a device that could simplify this complex and labor-intensive process. The Solution: After multiple iterations and extensive prototyping, the MicroLift was born! This innovative solution transformed how Whirlpool handled the recall, making the process faster, safer, and more efficient. The Impact: This project didn’t just solve a problem—it shaped the future of Edgewater Automation. The success of the MicroLift fueled our growth, expanded our capabilities, and solidified our reputation as a trusted automation partner. ? Then: A small but determined team tackling big challenges with creative engineering. ? Now: A global automation leader developing cutting-edge solutions across multiple industries. Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come. #Throwback #SmartManufacturing #EngineeringInnovation #EdgewaterAutomation

Are you a custom machine builder still using spreadsheets to track your project elements, or using a jobshop software that fits only a fraction of your business?

The drill operated ballscrew scissor lift! I have seen others like that in my past life, they must have all copied Edgewater!

Yes, those were times. I’m the blond guy (second from the left), who moved from the US to Romania and still makes them over here. 20 plus years later. That was a huge succes and still is.
