Happy Monday of a short holiday week, friends! A little rant today - this one aimed at job seekers. As you may know, I've been looking for a Tax Accountant in Philadelphia for about 2 months now. I've come across multiple candidates in my search that have their green open to work banner up on LinkedIn - will happily accept my connection request - and even after multiple outreaches through different avenues, LinkedIn, email, text AND call/voicemail - have still yielded no response. Now, maybe this is an Accountant thing - which is quite possible. But my point is this - if you're looking for a job - and are advertising that you are - and someone is reaching out to you with a job that is a reasonable fit for your skillset - and you fail to respond - you have no space to complain about not being able to find a job. #jobseekers #hiringnow #2024hiring #changemakers #talentpartner

An advert is often a wishlist, and requirements are often flexible for the right candidate. Don't rule yourself out before you've even started! Also - pay no attention to closing dates and the "number of applicants." Roles can close early and applicant numbers are often highly inflated.
