?? Excited to share my recent poster presentation! ?? I had the opportunity to present our project at Graduated Student Research Day in Nebraska, USA, where I discussed the significance of our Reconfigurable Battery System (RBS) framework and its integration with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in buildings. We aim to drive decentralization, digitalization, and decarbonization of the electric grid. It was a fantastic experience connecting with fellow researchers and professionals in the field. Our project proposes an innovative approach to optimize BESS integration in buildings. NEW WORK ALERT! This was such a major project to be involved in and one we were so proud to have worked on. Collaborating with the UNSW Faculty of Engineering, we worked closely with staff and academics to help better communicate and share the incredible global impact of the research being conducted right here in Australia. This project involved interviewing 21 (!) different engineers about their research and crafting long-form impact stories for each one. Suffice to say, we learned a lot! The first batch of stories is now live and we highly recommend taking a look at the human-centred impact of this world-changing research. It's truly mind blowing to see how this otherwise silent research is being applied across every industry both locally and abroad, and how major the impact has already been and continues to be. ICYMI, The University of Toledo is set to play a major role in the new Northwest Ohio Glass Innovation Hub, as announced yesterday by Gov. Mike DeWine, focused on strengthening the region’s national leadership in glassmaking and solar energy technology. ? The Northwest Ohio Glass Innovation Hub is part of a $125 million Department of Development program aimed at making the state a national leader in innovation and economic development through several regional innovation hubs. ? UToledo and Bowling Green State University are the consortium’s leading academic partners for scientific research and preparing highly trained graduates for careers in the glass and solar industries through science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) degree programs. ? “This is a collaboration that will build on Toledo’s legacy as the glass capital of the world, and we believe will propel this region into the forefront of glass and solar innovation worldwide,” DeWine said. ? UToledo brings to the consortium the nation’s top academic solar energy research center with the Wright Center for Photovoltaics Innovation and Commercialization, along with a strong roster of research engineers and scientists from The University of Toledo College of Engineering and the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. ? Who will train the future EV engineers, mobility experts and infrastructure leaders? It's an important question, one our Energy & Mobility team is answering this week by hosting 12 engineering faculty from six different universities and research institutes in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. The visiting faculty will meet with students, including teams and clubs such as the U-M Solar Car team, U-M Electric Boat, Michigan Mars Rover team, Supermileage club and Michigan Climate Ventures. I am happy to have completed my studies by obtaining my Master's degree in Energy Engineering at the Università degli Studi di Firenze. My thesis is entitled ‘Experimental techniques for the investigation of film cooling in supersonic flow and preliminary results’.

? Official start of my Master's thesis ? After thorough preparation and several exciting discussions, I have officially received permission to begin working on my Master's thesis. Now, the real journey begins! In my Bachelor's thesis, I focused on "Theory-Guided Load Disaggregation in an Industrial Environment", which allowed me to dive deep into data-driven solutions for industrial systems. Now, with my Master's thesis, I'm taking on a new challenge: developing an energy-efficient thermal control system that integrates Model Predictive Control with Fuzzy Control. The goal is to maximize comfort in buildings while saving energy.
