As Vice President of Diversity, Health Equity, Inclusion & Justice at Rochester Regional Health, I've witnessed how powerful change happens when institutional leadership genuinely listens and responds to community needs. Our work isn't about checking boxes; it's about creating real pathways to more equitable healthcare. Some moments that truly captured our journey: ? Partnering with the Center for Urology to host "The Black Walnut" film screening, bringing critical awareness to prostate cancer disparities. Our community conversations that day showed me—again—that understanding starts with listening. https://lnkd.in/gak-UFYd ? Launching our Diversity in Healthcare pipeline program, welcoming future leaders from UPREP Charter School and showing them authentic healthcare career paths. Participating in the Witness to Injustice Blanket Project, learning from Indigenous facilitators and recommitting to understanding and supporting Indigenous communities. These aren't just events—they're opportunities for profound collective learning. https://lnkd.in/gjzTQkqs This year also brought some incredible professional milestones: earning my Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP) certification, obtaining Just Culture Certification, and continuing to teach Healthcare Leadership at Rochester Institute of Technology. A few personal achievements that mean the world to me: ? Promoted to Vice President of Diversity, Health Equity, Inclusion & Justice ? Continued expanding At The Table Consulting's impact ? Maintained my commitment to developing diverse healthcare pipelines Looking ahead to 2025: We're not just expanding health equity initiatives.
