Huge congratulations to Blue Origin on the launch of their New Glenn rocket. The 320-foot rocket reached orbit 13 minutes after liftoff, carrying a prototype satellite designed to host or deploy other satellites. The primary mission objective of reaching orbit was achieved. However, the first-stage booster missed its target landing on a barge in the Atlantic Ocean. Blue Origin plans six to eight New Glenn flights this year, with the next one scheduled for spring. Amazon also plans to launch 3,232 broadband relay stations in a project named Project Kuiper to provide space-based internet services in direct competition with SpaceX's Starlink. We're gearing up for a new age space race, and it's looking to be off to a good start. Photo credit: Blue Origin webcast

Detailed analysis from our #NCAT product on #D2D and SpaceX #Starlink deployment. Real time data and customizable deployment simulations are a must to undertake any strategic assessment of this market. https://lnkd.in/eZc3Duzg
SpaceX confirmed more than 100 Starlink satellites with Direct-to-Cell /D2D capabilities in orbit https://lnkd.in/dQtwY8AQ SpaceX has been ramping up the D2D launch cadence. At this pace, SpaceX should have over 300 D2D satellites in orbit by mid fall. Yet, all D2D satellites are currently orbiting at altitudes between 320 and 380 kilometers so their field of view is small.

SpaceX is preparing for the seventh test flight of its Starship rocket today, Jan. 16, at 5 p.m. EST (4 p.m. Texas time, 2200 GMT). The launch will take place at the Starbase facility in South Texas, and the event will be streamed live. Standing 400 feet tall (122 meters), Starship is the largest and most powerful rocket ever developed. It features two fully reusable stages: the Super Heavy booster and the Starship spacecraft, which measures 165 feet (50 meters) in height. This marks the rocket’s seventh flight, following six previous launches, including a notable mission in October when the Super Heavy booster was caught by the launch tower’s "chopstick" arms. SpaceX plans to replicate that maneuver during this flight. In addition, Flight 7 will include a new milestone: deploying 10 mock Starlink satellites. These test satellites will not remain in orbit but are expected to follow the spacecraft’s path and splash down in the Indian Ocean about an hour after launch. SpaceX has outlined ambitious plans for Starship this year, with significant developments expected in the coming months. #SpaceX #Starship #RocketLaunch #MooreCountyAirport #KSOP #TakeFlight

Elon Musk’s SpaceX now commands 62% of the active satellites orbiting Earth, a milestone marked by the launch of its 7,000th Starlink satellite. Since its launch in 2019, the Starlink constellation has been expanding at a pace of three satellites daily, reaching over 6,370 active units. This impressive growth underscores SpaceX’s dominance in space communications, far outstripping competitors like OneWeb, which relies on SpaceX for launches after parting ways with Russia’s Soyuz. Starlink’s global high-speed internet service now spans over 100 countries, showcasing Musk's major success in the space sector. #SpaceX #Starlink #SatelliteDominance #ElonMusk #SpaceEconomy #GlobalInternet #TechInnovation

[SpaceX Launching 21 Starlink Satellites From Florida This Morning] SpaceX plans to launch another set of its Starlink internet satellites from Florida's Space Coast this morning (Jan. 13). A Falcon 9 rocket carrying 21 Starlink craft, including 13 with direct to cell capabilities, is scheduled to lift off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station today during a 3.5-hour window that opens at 10:08 a.m. EST (1508 GMT). SpaceX will webcast the action live via X this morning, beginning about five minutes before liftoff. If all goes to plan today, the first stage will come back to Earth about eight minutes after liftoff, touching down in the Atlantic Ocean on the drone ship "A Shortfall of Gravitas." It will be the 15th launch and landing for this particular booster, according to a SpaceX mission description. Eight of its 14 flights to date have been Starlink missions. The Falcon 9's upper stage will continue carrying the Starlink spacecraft to low Earth orbit, deploying them about 65 minutes after liftoff. This morning's launch will be the sixth of 2025 for SpaceX. Last year, the company launched more than 130 Falcon 9 missions, about two-thirds of them Starlink liftoffs. [SpaceX Launches 23 Starlink Satellites In Nighttime Liftoff] SpaceX launched another batch of its Starlink internet satellites to orbit early Wednesday morning (April 10). A Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 Starlink spacecraft lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on Wednesday at 1:40 a.m. EDT (0540 GMT). About 8.5 minutes later, the rocket's first stage came back to Earth, touching down at sea on the SpaceX droneship?Just Read the Instructions. It was the second launch and landing for this particular booster, according to a SpaceX mission description. Its lone previous liftoff sent SpaceX's four-astronaut Crew-8 mission toward the International Space Station on March 5. The Falcon 9's upper stage, meanwhile, continued hauling the 21 Starlink satellites toward low Earth orbit (LEO). The spacecraft will be deployed in LEO 65.5 minutes after liftoff, if all goes according to plan. SpaceX has now launched 36 orbital missions in 2024. Two-thirds of those flights have been devoted to building out the Starlink megaconstellation, which currently consists of nearly 5,700 operational satellites. [SpaceX Launches 24 Starlink Satellites From Florida, Its 7th Liftoff In A Week] SpaceX launched 24 more of its Starlink internet satellites from Florida's Space Coast this morning (Nov. 21), continuing a very busy stretch for the company. A Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Starlink spacecraft lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 11:07 a.m. EST (1607 GMT), the beginning of a nearly four-hour-long window. The Falcon 9's first stage returned to Earth about eight minutes after liftoff as planned, touching down on the SpaceX droneship "A Shortfall of Gravitas" in the Atlantic Ocean. It was the 20th launch and landing for this particular booster, according to a SpaceX mission description. Sixteen of those flights have been Starlink missions. The Falcon 9's upper stage continued hauling the 24 Starlink satellites to low Earth orbit (LEO); it will deploy them there about 65 minutes after liftoff. Today's launch was the seventh for SpaceX in the past week, and the sixth flown by a Falcon 9 in that span. The other recent liftoff was the sixth-ever test flight of SpaceX's Starship megarocket. That mission, which occurred on Tuesday (Nov. 19), was a success; both stages of the giant vehicle aced their ocean splashdowns as planned.
