We're on a journey at Future Ready CMO to unlock our potential to be the leaders the world needs now. As we explore what this might look like together, "I can't because" barriers keep popping up. "..because of short-term thinking of our board." "...because they just cut my budget." "...because my team just shrunk." "...because I'm short on time." etc. All of these barriers have one thing in common. #Scarcity! If you're a marketer, you know that word well. Most of our strategies are based on this powerful trigger of desire. Scarcity is a construct of our outdated culture that's not actually working in our favor anymore. The constant pursuit of "more, faster, better" has become a never-ending cycle of excuses for why we can't take the necessary steps to create a better future. So before we go any further in envisioning the future we want to create, we've got to examine, and hopefully clear some of this scarcity thinking that zaps our vital energy everyday.
