A lot to process this week. A lot. I already see organizations and leaders trying to respond to this moment too quickly, laying out their plans for operating in this new political environment, what this means for their missions, etc. A word of advice. Take a deep breath. Slow down. I’ve worked in politics, the federal government, law firms, nonprofit organizations, partisan and non-partisan orgs and I have managed in all those spaces, including federal workers, members of the military and campaign staff. People are hungry for leaders to be human and at times to even be vulnerable. I urge leaders to put humanity first. Open your door, be available as your teams process the results of this election and what it means for them, their families, their communities and their work. Remind them that no matter the outcome, YOU value them. Strategy and plans will come. Those plans mean nothing without your teams. Use this an opportunity to show them they are in the right place, at the right time, with the right leadership.

What does professionalism, business and leadership have to do with the 2024 presidential election? Well, I'm no political science major, so my expertise is limited. However, with 10 days until the most talked about election (arguably) in the 21st century, I'll drop these FOUR lessons I've learned while watching it unfold: 1. There is power in the brand you build. Your influence, your reach, and your story can reach farther than you think. 2. Our nation has an entrepreneurial spirit like none other - to have a vision and bring it to fruition is a simultaneously mighty and delicate skill to have. 3. Pick your crowd wisely. 4. Our call as humans, creatives, leaders, business owners, legislators...is to construct the life we wish to live not only for us but for generations to come. Investing in companies, people and communities that align with your mission. Create a career and travel the world, raise your family and love yourself in the process. I won't say who to vote for, or even to vote - but what I will say is that we are often reflections of the leadership we choose every day. If you want to participate in that choice, November 5th is in 10 days.

Choose leaders who tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. (Important, but easier said than done). We all seek echo chambers. It's a human tendency. It’s natural. But true leaders tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. And while they might not do this all the time, they do it every so often. Take John McCain. He could pander with the best of them. (There was an old joke in DC that there was no place in Washington more dangerous than between John McCain and a camera.) But sometimes, when the chips were down, McCain would say the right thing—the thing that was not in his interest. In a town hall three weeks before the 2008 election, McCain defended then-Representative Barack Obama by calling him “a decent, family man.” His supporters audibly booed him, but McCain continued: “He’s a good man that I happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues, and that’s what this campaign is all about.” Because most politicians do this exactly zero times, the fact that McCain did it on occasion made him a real leader. He wasn’t perfect, but that’s not what we’re striving for. Choose people who tell you what you need to hear—even if it’s just once in a while. #pickingpresidents #politics #leadership #presidents #election

A few unanswered questions for the Congress There are several important questions that remain unanswered for members of Congress. These questions may pertain to a variety of topics, such as policy decisions, legislative priorities, and the impact of proposed bills on the American people. It is crucial for Congress to provide clear and thorough answers to these questions to ensure transparency and accountability. By addressing these questions, Congress can enhance public trust and better serve the needs and concerns of their constituents. Thus, it is essential for Congress to prioritize addressing these unanswered questions in order to fulfill their responsibilities to the American people., #LegislativePriorities, #Accountability, #Transparency, #ProposedBills, #PolicyDecisions https://lnkd.in/dt8Z3fu2

Obama is literally on Video saying that he would like to be behind the scenes in a basement telling someone else what to do…. That was after his holding office. He is also the only president in history (from my understanding) to remain in Washington, D.C. after his presidency. He is literally at many events and takes center stage and has helped JB exit off the stage. So, I am pretty convinced that Obama is running the country. Frankly, he should be investigated to see if that’s the case because of the many laws he would be violating. So, if a former U.S. president attempted to direct or influence the current sitting president's actions, it could potentially violate several laws and principles: 1. **The Logan Act**: This prohibits unauthorized U.S. citizens (including former officials) from negotiating with foreign governments. If the former president's instructions involved foreign policy or negotiations, this could be relevant. 2. **Conspiracy Statutes**: Engaging in a conspiracy to commit an offense or to defraud the United States (e.g., influencing government functions) would be a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371. 3. **Obstruction of Justice**: If the instructions involved hindering an investigation or legal process, it could violate 18 U.S.C. §§ 1501-1521. 4. **Ethics and Abuse of Power**: While not a specific law, such actions could violate ethical norms and principles regarding the separation of powers and the independence of the executive branch. 5. **Misuse of Classified Information**: If the former president shared classified information as part of their instructions, it could violate laws on handling classified information, like 18 U.S.C. § 798. 6. **Public Corruption Laws**: If the instructions involved corrupt practices, such as bribery or influence peddling, laws under 18 U.S.C. §§ 201-225 could be applicable. These laws aim to prevent undue influence, protect the independence of the presidency, and maintain the integrity of government functions. If a former U.S. president effectively controlled the sitting president, thereby gaining a third term of influence, this would violate: 1. The 22nd Amendment 2. The Constitutional Principle of Separation of Powers 3. Subversion of Democratic Processes 4. Potential Charges of Fraud or Conspiracy 5. Abuse of Power or Coercion Overall, while no single law might explicitly cover the scenario of a former president controlling the current president, a combination of constitutional principles, federal statutes, and democratic norms would be violated, leading to significant legal and political repercussions.

A growing group of leaders in Congress are FINALLY publicly saying what many Americans have been thinking for years: Speaker Mike Johnson: "I don't think President Biden is actually running the country. I think there's a small group of advisers — many of them are very progressive leftists who are trying to push their various agendas…" REPOST for widespread exposure. Discuss in the comments - what do YOU believe? #thinblueline #lawenforcement

On Tuesday, November 29, 2024, in Washington, D.C., Vice President Kamala Harris will deliver one of the most critical speeches of this presidential campaign—a moment that will definitively determine whether America moves forward or retreats into the divisive shadows of the past. This is not merely a political address; it is a pivotal crossroads where the nation's values, future, and global standing hang in the balance. The stakes could not be higher. America is on the brink of a decision between progress and regression, between vision and delusion. Her opponent, a waning 80-year-old billionaire with antiquated ideas, is trying to sell the country a dangerous recipe of hate, division, and outdated policies. His worldview, delivered through a toxic stream of foul language and simplistic thinking, is not a roadmap for success—it is a collision course with disaster. This is a path toward societal fracture, not unity; regression, not progress. Vice President Harris has not hesitated to describe her opponent as “unhinged” and “unstable,” but on this stage, she must go beyond character critiques. She must chart a bold, contrasting vision for a better, stronger, and more hopeful America—an America that promotes prosperity and human rights at home and abroad, rather than financing atrocities and enabling division. This is not about who can shout the loudest or pander to the narrowest of interests. As digital age realist scholars like Professor Mearsheimer predicted in 2008, foreign entanglements with nations of no strategic relevance will not secure the future. What matters is who can best propel America forward, ensuring it continues to lead in a rapidly changing world. This speech is not about popularity. It’s about responsibility. It's about who can rise above the noise, the slander, and the petty distractions to keep America galloping ahead. In this defining moment, Vice President Harris must not only capture the imagination of the American people but also offer them a clear, hopeful path that honors America's promise and potential. This is about the future of democracy, the soul of the nation, and the vision of a brighter tomorrow. #WhiteHouse #Statedepartment #kamalaHarris

"While the 33 actions I describe below are those of the Democratic Party and the Biden/Harris administration, they are also the actions and policies that unfortunately our most aggressive adversaries would likely implement if they wanted to destroy America from within, and had the ability to take control of our leadership."
