Learning this ONE thing helped our company grow from 10-35 people within 3 years whilst maintaining 93% employee retention: “Your business growth is directly equal to your employees growth.” I remember back in in 2020, when the world was at its peak craziness. And our monthly revenue dropped 50% - almost overnight. Stress levels were high. Our team were feeling the impact. And then one of them quit. We knew we had to make some major changes. Here are 4 things that have had the most impact: → Focus on personal employee growth: Make sure everyone has a growth path and/or knows what's next for them. Maximise opportunities for training, learning and development. → Promote work-life balance: Actually do this. Don't just pretend to. Don't only encourage but actually help your team to look after themselves. 0 messages outside of work hours. Set clear boundaries. Prioritize health and wellbeing etc. → Speak your truth: Allowing team members to express their ideas, fears and opinions freely. Without fear of any negative consequences. This allows us to address any concerns at the root level before they grow into something big. → Actively watchout for burnout: Our systems help our managers to proactively identify behavioural changes such as working late hours, absence from work, and failing productivity. We can then offer more support, encourage people to take a break or hire more. Today, we’re 35 member strong and our team is growing! Your team will either thank you for implementing things like this or they will leave you for someone else who will... The choice is always yours.
