"History lays the groundwork for strong and resilient communities" Over 100 years of learning in Riley Hall at Malvern Preparatory School, this year they opened school in a renovated building with learning support spaces in the new Maggitti Pavillion. Incredibly proud to be part of the team putting on this great event, and celebrating such an important series of anniversaries for our country.
Last week, we announced the delegates for this summer's Young People's Continental Congress (YPCC). We were joined by many of our partners, who helped us also announce our celebratory anniversary events coming in 2024, such as our Historic Crafts and Trades Fair being held in the spring. We would like to extend a warm thank you to our partners and sponsors for YPCC and all of our 300th Anniversary activities. The Carpenters' Company was also granted a proclamation from the office of Governor Josh Shapiro in celebration of the 300th Anniversary of the Carpenters' Company and the 250th Anniversary of the completion of Carpenters' Hall. We are excited to enter the Vertical Construction Phase of our Career Pathways Academy Project led by our friends at BSI Construction, LLC. Built with Union Labor this 20,000 sq ft, state-of-the-art venue will usher in a new era at FJ where students will have the opportunity to learn skilled trades and earn certifications in high-priority occupations critical to supporting the workforce needs of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of PA. The CPA building will be home to the Connelly Welding Lab, the Faulkner Automotive Institute, and several other Construction Science programs. With a project investment exceeding $11M, no other Catholic High School in the country is making the magnitude of investment in this new and exciting curriculum offering. The goal is to ensure every young man on this campus has the ability to use his God-given talents to chart his own pathway to success or as our Patron St. Francis DeSales taught us to "be who you are and be that well.
