“Unreasonable Hospitality”…. “The remarkable power of giving people more than they expect” - Will Guidara I caddy part time for a little side hustle at a top rated course in the USA. While the course is absolutely stunning, I would argue we are not in the “golfing business” but rather in the hospitality business with an amazing golf course. I make sure to not only provide good golfing advice/insight but I try harder to provide exceptional service and hospitality….unreaonably so Why is “unreasonable hospitality” even a phrase and why does it matter? It’s a phrase because our world has lost its instinctiveness to care for others ABOVE AND BEYOND what they expect to receive. Now, it’s become “unreasonable” to show such hospitality. And it matters so much because it is the thing that will differentiate you from everyone else providing a similar product or service. Go the extra mile to make them feel seen…you just captured them. Proactively anticipate a need they have because you’re aware of them and their preferences…you’ll blown their minds. How do you try to provide unreasonable hospitality in your industry?
