?? ? Book Club Alert ? ?? Choosing a book to read and discuss with your team, or entire organization, is a great tool for inspiration, culture building, and vision casting. If you provide any type of service, which many of us do, I encourage you to consider Unreasonable Hospitality, by Will Guidara. While many of the stories come from the restaurant industry, the emphasis on the importance of how our interactions make people feel and how that strengthens long-term partnerships, is universal. I find the following quote especially impactful in my business: "At the end of the day, the best way to respect and reward the A players on your team is to surround them with other A players. This is how you attract more A players. And it means you must invest as much energy into hiring as you expect the team to invest in their jobs. You cannot expect someone to keep giving all of themselves if you put someone alongside them who isn't willing to do the same."

Become the Leader you would FOLLOW ?? Helping leaders be their best for their people - and themselves ?? Over 50 recommendations ?? ICF ACC/PCC Assessor & Guide
Psst, here's how to make at least £30,000 extra profit, every year. That's the average cost of an employee who leaves (paperwork, recruitment, lower skills for a few months etc.). For specialist expertise, it's a lot more (I'm sure you know this). And EVERY leader can save one person leaving, every year. Here's how. I get my #Costa coffee several mornings a week. My favourite barista is a Liverpool supporter (I know this because we chatted about it. Her boyfriend is an Arsenal supporter, so last Sunday was an event in their household!) I asked her if she was working or if she could watch the game. She told me she didn’t work Sundays any more. Curious, I joked that I must give her a great opportunity to lie in after Saturday nights out. She told me that had been the case at one time. When she went to work not feeling her best one Sunday, her boss asked her if she'd prefer to work every Saturday and have Sundays off. A choice. A kind offer. A win-win. As my cortado was being finished off, her boss, who was manning the till, reminded me that I hadn’t paid (a mistake, honestly!). I commented that she had great staff, and how another store I use in the same chain was always recruiting. She told me that she made it her focus to ensure she looked after her staff. And that ensured she didn’t have much turnover. She looked after them. They looked after her. That's how she saves (at least £30,000 a year). Retention. It's available to every leader. Right now. PS How I found out all about this is another post. Hint: it's about being in the conversation with people and being interested in them. Everyone. Especially baristas. #leadership #retention #TheKindLeader #CostaCoffee #conversations #servantleadership #kindness #winwin #football #barista

???????? ???????????????? ???? ?????? ??????????????????????, ?????????????? ?????????????? ???? ?????? ??????. The other day, I saw these inspiring words of victory on someone's t-shirt at the local Farmer's market. I felt victorious at that moment, as I was just about to embark on a massive slice of pizza. I love going to the Farmer's market, and the slogan on the back of the T-shirt was appropriate, given its dynamics. For a farmer's market to thrive, teamwork must be a priority. --- The market always makes me feel "at home." My conversations with the local vendors have meaning and depth, and I inevitably leave the market feeling rejuvenated and happy. After seeing the t-shirt's slogan, I was inspired by what was happening around me. I noticed that vendors support and help one another, and I could see the mechanics of teamwork unfolding. People listen, ask questions, observe, and serve the customers. Participants must be flexible, nimble, communicative, and supportive for the market to thrive. It requires everyone to work in unison to ensure that customers like me have a fantastic experience and want to return. --- Typically, I cruise into the market, get my things, connect with the vendors, and head home. This day was different because I saw the market functioning as a working unit. Like any organization, they will have drama and setbacks, but like the good ones, they will address the issues and stay customer-focused. #teamwork #communicationskills #leadershipdevelopment #CEOS #managers #listening

#restoration,?#restorationservices,?#restorationindustry,?#brandbuilding,?#positioning https://lnkd.in/g5NB4rFw This commercial was obviously aimed at Starbucks. Though I found it funny, I also realized that it is a classic example of Perception deception that is often used in business, including the Disaster Restoration space. The lesson: Build your own playbook. Don't let the competitive field position you in the minds of your prospects. You have four positions to choose from; The Leader. The Challenger. The Follower. The Nicher. Choose wisely!

Connect your employees to the BIGGER picture!! Recognition helps employees see that their company values them and their contributions to the success of their team and the company overall. This is particularly key when organizations grow or change. It helps employees build a sense of security in their value to the company, motivating them to continue great work. Here’s the GAME CHANGER; Regularly share news about how the company is striving to reach the mission, and explain how individual employee goals relate to that vision.?? While it's important to recognize major accomplishments, don’t overlook the power of the everyday thank-yous and shout-outs to motivate employees. Remember, these small gestures can make your employees feel incredibly proud of themselves! ???? ?????????????? ???? ?????? ?? ?????????? & ???????? ???????? ???????????????? ???????????????????????? ?????? - ?????????? ???????? ???????????????? ???????????????????????? ?????? is an annual reminder to pause, reflect and express gratitude to your employees, who collectively contribute to the continued success of your business. Throughout March we personally thanked our employees for all their hard work and commitment to PF Concept UK and T Shirt & Sons. We asked our managers to write personal thank you notes to their respective teams. In total twenty-two thank you notes were drafted, printed and hand-delivered across PF Concept UK and T Shirt & Sons. Also, as a small token of our appreciation, all employees received a sweet treat from ????????’?? ??????????????????????. As a responsible employer, PF Concept prefers to partner with companies whose vision, mission, company goals and values closely align to our own. I've had the opportunity to meet and engage with numerous professionals in the corporate sector. While meeting and greets are valuable and acknowledging someone's success is important, we often fall into the trap of expecting immediate results from networking alone. All of us have faced this situation of expecting that (They are earning exceptional) Get in touch with them, have a meeting at a restaurant with a good ambiance along with fizzy lime. But still, things don't work the way it worked for them. The answer is: Pepsi can never reveal its secret ingredient! However, the choice is yours whether you want to become like Coca-cola, or will excuse your sequel that they never told you about their secret ingredient. #ProfessionalGrowth #Networking #SuccessMindset
