If you're a job-seeker (and one of my connections), please don't be shy. Is there anyone in particular I could introduce to you? Being on the agency side, I have limited insight into in-house roles. However, I do have an extensive network. So, if there's anyone in particular I can connect you to, let me know. There have never been more #analystrelations people looking for new roles, if the rate of job-seekers contacting me is anything to go by. I had three yesterday, for example. And the time it's taking even senior people to get into roles after redundancy astonishes me. #archat P.S. How to do it: used LinkedIn search to see the sorts of people I am connected it, to and who in my network would be a good referral for you. Think about what you need help with, want to know about, or what someone in my network might be interested in that you can offer. If you can identify someone in my network with whom you have a credible basis for an introduction, I'd be delighted to make that happen. P.P.S. How NOT to do it. Please don't message me to ask if I have any jobs. I'm obviously not hiring, otherwise I would have mentioned it. And I don't know about any vacancies that you can't find in LinkedIn. So, I'm not offering to tell you about jobs. I am offering to introduce you to a person I am connected to, whom you identify by using LinkedIn, and who will probably gain something valuable from the conversation with you.
Thanks Duncan … As someone who has worked (both professionally and looking for a position) he is a great resource. I would add that Linkedin is both a great resource for open positions but at the same time a frustrating job board. Why you ask (or have had the same experience) … LinkedIn has a lot of job openings and you can look for colleagues that have recently left that job as well as are currently at the company. Jobs are posted as they open. The frustrating part is LinkedIn continues to show positions long after they are either filled or are no longer open. It might be the companies fault for not informing LinkedIn but it is extremely frustrating to see positions remain open way after the company is no longer hiring for it.
A generous offer - nice one. I'd add that if you're in comms and looking for a role I make it my business to repost as many job offers as I can - it's a bit haphazard as to when I'm at my computer to do so, but there's a steady stream of roles on my feed if anyone wants to follow.
Thanks, yes. I'll be in touch.

Yes
The overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God. Oh, it chases me down, fights 'til I'm found, leaves the ninety-nine for one.
