?? I was excited to deliver a keynote at Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Core Universities AI Workshop, hosted by North Carolina State University earlier this month! The talk, "From Vascular Digital Twins to Predictive AI: Shifting Healthcare from Reactive to Proactive Monitoring and Intervention," focused on both the challenges and opportunities for AI in advancing digital twins in healthcare. In the talk, I discussed how AI can accelerate model creation, enable tailored treatments, and even reduce computational loads through AI surrogates. However, achieving these advances comes with its own set of challenges, from ensuring data reliability to addressing computational demands. There’s still much work ahead, but the potential for proactive, patient-centered care is truly inspiring!
