This free presentation shows the wonderful and challenging work that was done to disassemble and store the components of the Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verde California, due to continuing landslide damage. It now awaits a new site and reassembly, which the public can donate to as noted in the presentation. In addition to its historic architectural and spiritual value, this is a great example of how a structure was constructed such that it could be disassembled and reassembled. If we as architects consider disassembly when designing, materials (in less significant buildings) can be later reused, repurposed, or reassembled, reducing our carbon footprint and honoring the effort and embodied energy it took to create a building or structure to begin with.

Here we go again. Having done a few sports complexes over the last few years, figured why not do it again. KPI Engineering, Inc. is excited about this project and humbled to be able to be a part of such an impact on the town of City of Odessa, Texas! Glad to hear the excitement from City officials and others as the project continues to get underway. Also, looking forward to the impact sports tourism dollars will have on the area. The partnership with PAUL STRESING ASSOCIATES, INC. and RADDSports has already produced successful ventures for the complexes and municipalities we've worked with before. While the design and construction team which also includes Construction Manager Scherer Construction may not be directly involved in the operation of the complex, the team understands a successful implementation of the project is of prime importance and that includes its design, collaboration with selected contractors during construction, and final close out.
