Dear Network. It's been a long journey with Google Cloud to obtain my GCP Engineer Associate certificate. I learned the fundamentals of GCP on Networking, Security, Storage, And Cloud computing. So I took a side quest xd, a little break from the assigned learning path to get more into Machine Learning. I got this badge on Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals. More to come Inshallah.

My journey on learning all things about the cloud infrastructure so far: A few nights ago I created my very first web page through AWS EC2 connect, for which I placed my virtual computer in OH. Anyone who hits this URL with http can see it (until I terminate my EC2 connection) as I exposed it to the world. It's a small demo but has pretty significant meaning. A small business would not need its own physical hardware or to configure firewalls etc., but could set up its web server through the AWS cloud, and people can work on it right away. It's much easier and cost efficient to set up, and less prevision to maintain. As a data scientist, traditionally, we use data and we make predictions, and we don’t necessarily look into the infrastructure we rely on. But I find this topic on cloud infrastructure very fascinating since it’s the foundation for cloud computing. Hope this post will inspire some more learnings. #learning #datascience #cloud

I just took the new AWS Certified AI Practitioner. I think I passed? Still waiting for results. Even if I didn't pass it, I got to get a feel for the exam and the level of depth I should be applying to studying and reviewing. Additionally, I also learned about many of the services expected to know and how they relate to one another. Expect to get CCP-level questions sprinkled throughout the exam but I'd say 97% of the questions were about AI and not so much about the cloud itself. However, even if the questions didn't explictly asked about the cloud, for sure there was expected knowledge about what is S3, VPC, EC2, etc. I want to get the Early Adopter badge. I think they give those out until February 2025.
