How to Prepare and Serve Essiac Tea

Natural is not a picture of a tree. When I first looked for natural solutions for sleep, that’s what I thought I was buying. Pills, powders and teas commonly came with packaging featuring plants supposed to indicate (nay, evoke) the ingredients. When I flipped to the ingredients, however, the picture was entirely different. Extracts - fractions of fractions of the plant from unknown processes. Natural / nature-identical flavours - a pandora’s box of troublesome ingredients. Binders, fillers, preservatives. It felt as if the only natural thing I got was the images on the pack - the picture of a tree. We decided to change that. We took the evidence-based approach of modern therapeutic formulation and restricted ourselves to using only whole plant parts in our products. The result- whole plant infusions that are?powerfully effective, thoroughly safe and, we believe, utterly indulgent. We ended up choosing to not include pictures of plants on our packaging - if you want to see what’s in your infusion, cut open a bag.
